Today I photographed two beautiful ladies as they modeled Derng. As a little background info, I used to work for the lovely lady that runs this company, and I absolutely ADORE her jewelry.
Thank you to my lovely models Sami & Megan for their patience in the rain, and climbing through bushes and dirt! Also, the mosquitoes.. we can't forget the mosquitoes!
Another thank you to Derng for their generous loan of jewels for this session!
This past summer, I went on a lot of adventuring. One of the places I went to was New Orleans, Louisiana for my best friend's twenty-first birthday. To say we had a blast is an understatement! The only two downsides to this trip:
Walking a million blocks in heels, while it's raining (it was really like 10-15).
The weekend was way too short!
But we looked cute doing it! (it was raining, so I couldn't take my camera out.)
We were able to take French Quarter Tour while we were there also! However, we really just fooled around and made complete fools of ourselves. Who wouldn't?
What an AMAZING trip this was, I hope to go back one day!
I find this quote completely wrong, and to some people I might be labeled odd for that. If you know me at all, you'd understand. However, for those that don't, let me enlighten you a little bit.
In a personal sense, this quote is wrong because I HATE really dislike roller coasters. I stand at about roughly 5'0" barefoot, and like to be firmly planted to the ground. On a weekly basis, I hear remarks about how short I am or how my brothers all got the height in the family. To be honest, life might be a little bit different if I was 3 to 5 inches taller, but why worry about that?
Of course being a music enthusiast, I had to find a song that shared my thoughts on the matter.
NeverShoutNever! - On the Brightside
Although I'm not "roughly 6 feet tall" I like to think of this song as a ode to being able to being happy no matter my height or problems I may face with my height. Certainly, your reasoning of lyrics may be entirely different to mine, so don't hold me to that definition!
Anyways, back to why I find this quote wrong. In a literary sense, if you analyze this quote as a life quote, many people will disagree with it. When talking about life, a roller coaster symbolizes the ups and downs of ones crazy lifestyle. Why would anyone like a crazy roller coaster ride that takes you plummeting to your bottom only to make your heart rise up and feel like you want to throw up? Not me. I'd rather stay on the ground viewing the beauty of what's around me.
Unfortunately, we can't all be Augustus Waters. His positive attitude, and naive way of thinking. Well, maybe we can.
"I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up, my friend."
Anyways, that was my Thought of the Day. I hope you enjoyed my little snippet, and pray that your roller coaster is a lot smoother here on out! Even if there are a few ups and downs, it's always nice to reach that moment of clarity and peace. Until later!
Today's insight onto my life is all about photography! The fun thing about this, is that I actually have tons of pictures to share and have my own website as well! On that website I have pictures of portraits, families, and bridals; as well as a blog to go along with it.
I first started taking interest in photography at a young age. My father always had a camera snapping away and documenting me and my four brothers (at the time only 2 were born). When my third brother Gabriel was born, I started to take my dad's camera and start photographing him. I was fascinated by all the images i could capture: from laughing, crying, and playing. Almost anything was possible with this.
One Christmas, my dad bought me my first DSLR (after many little digital ones) and I went crazy with photos! I loved it! So today, I am happy to say, I will continue documenting my life with photos. Whether it be from my iPhone or from my Nikon, pictures will be taken.
As my first official post, I thought it'd be nice to shed some insight onto my passion towards music. I will get to the photography side, but music has always been my first passion.
Rightly so, I will be writing to the voice of Tori Kelly and Ed Sheeran (my two favorite singer-songwriters).
As I've stated in my previous post, I currently know how to play the violin, guitar, and piano. I started out on violin ten years ago (age 11) and six years ago I learned the guitar (age 15). Violin was always my main instrument, but when I started guitar the learning process changed and it was interesting. I was criticized for the way I held my guitar, which was too proper. Unfortunately because of this, guitar has not been my best instrument. However, the year after that I learned to play to piano. Luckily, this time I was actually taught by my violin instructor so she was able to help me in areas that she knew would be trouble for me. Today, I can argue that I might love piano more than violin. (Maybe....).
Today, half of my life has been dedicated to music and everything about it. I am currently studying to be a Artist/Tour Manger and be in the backgrounds of the live music business. Not only does this fulfill my passion of music, but also of travelling and photography as well. But I will get to that in later posts. As for now, that's all the information I have to give. I hope you enjoyed this little snippet of love!
First, thank you so much for looking into my blog.
Some fun things you might like to know: I am a twenty-one year old college student. I'm studying to be a artist manager, which is a fancy title for the person who handles schedules for famous people. I played the violin in high school, along with guitar and piano.I have a fourteen year old Siamese cat named Zeta. I can eat Italian food for the rest of my life if I had to. I love winter, summer heat is practically unbearable to me. I'm obsessed with Peter Pan. I have a nickname of "bee" because of my favorite color choices. I can't really think of much more, but maybe one of these days I'll think of something else! (:
This blog will pretty much be about my work in photography, the concerts I attend throughout the year, and any and all of my ambitions for life. Any photos that are posted to this blog will be from my own camera, as well as from my photography website.
I am constantly growing in my work, as well as with myself to be better at what I do and who I am.
